SF MGM Bill Court Hearing and Demonstration

On Thursday, July 28, nearly twenty intactivists from the bay area and beyond arrived at the Civic Center Courthouse in San Francisco for the San Francisco Male Genital Mutilation Bill court hearing. Some attended the hearing while the rest stood outside of the courthouse holding signs, giving interviews and speaking with members of the community who happened to be passing by the demonstration.

Many were disappointed to learn that the court hearing resulted in the removal of the SF MGM Bill from the November 2011 ballot. Despite this unfortunate setback in the struggle to protect genital integrity for all, members of Bay Area Intactivists are as committed as ever to standing up for the rights of those who are unable to defend themselves from unnecessary genital surgery.
