Pro-foreskin revolutionary stirs emotions at SF Fringe Festival

Canadian Foreskin Awareness Project (CAN-FAP) founder Glen Callender has returned to the bay area to advocate for the human right to genital integrity as part of the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Callender's show, The Revolution Will Not Be Circumcised, expands upon his wildly successful Foreskin Awareness Booth in the form of a 60-minute, live performance piece which is part comedy, part activism, and all foreskin. The show explores in graphic detail how the foreskin plays a vital role in the sexuality of men and the means by which some men have lost theirs. It follows with a quick overview of the increasing worldwide momentum to protect all children—male, female, and intersex—from having their most sensitive bits stolen from them.

Revolution's opening night was met with a full house of rambunctious supporters. Although some members of the audience couldn't make it past the show's gruesome video of an infant being circumcised, those who stayed showered Callender with applause at the show's conclusion.

The Revolution Will Not Be Circumcised plays at the San Francisco Fringe Festival until Sunday, September 16.
